What does it mean to be a good and healthy man in today's world?
Have you become a safe man at the cost of your deepest masculine desires?
How do you express strength without being seen as aggressive?
How do you hold people accountable without seeming corrective or parental?
How do you create strong boundaries for yourself without it seeming rigid or inflexible to others?
Courage: "The act of speaking one's mind by telling all of one's heart."
Living in courage requires getting out of your head and into your heart. For many men, courage is seen as a product of action. Courage, in fact, is an expression of your being, followed and supported by your actions.
We’re at an incredibly important place in the evolution of humanity. Today, many men feel lost in some ways, partly because of the dissolution of many patriarchal structures that have left us unsure of our path. And in that uncertainty, we often freeze, dissociate or double down. None of these reactions feed inner or outer growth.
Many of us were raised by a generation of men and fathers who had no idea what the possibility of balance could look like in their own lives and, as a result, the same is true for many men today.
True balance comes when we are able to find harmony between taking care of others and taking care of ourselves. Both are equally important, but balance is found when we learn to hold both aspects. The place where we can find an equilibrium between our inner and outer world. A personal center point that feeds a sense of self that is invigorated equally by who we are and what we do.
This balance means holding a strong sense of self, freedom, adventure, challenge, and achievement, while also being present as a healthy, grounded individual who tends to others—whether that’s a spouse, children, community, or the people who look up to you as a leader. And it cannot exist unless men include themselves in the vision of the world they’re trying to create.
Most of us haven't had the teachers, the parents, or the opportunities to decide what true balance looks like for us, but in Rise and Fall, we will do this together.
Where are you in your larger vision for the world?
What are you perpetuating in your life that no longer fits or that you may actually disagree with?
How much do you actually trust yourself?
This is where Rise or Fall: A Program for Men, A Course In Courage comes in.
Together, we're going to examine the fundamentals of personal courage, personal statement, and personal belief. We’ll also look at how we often sabotage what we believe in for ourselves in the name of supporting other people, in the name of avoiding past traumas or in the name of shame that was never ours in the first place. It's a simple fact - A prayer for the world that doesn’t include yourself is an incomplete prayer, because we must include ourselves in what we dream for those we love.
How do we include ourselves, live what we believe, and still serve the people we love while creating a future we can be proud of?
It takes work, it’s not always easy, and it requires true, mature, internalized masculinity that is seen and supported in brotherhood, fraternity and a container that can hold a man in all that he is.
Let me ask you a question: How would you respond if your eleven-year-old son, nephew, or someone close to you said, “Nobody loves me for who I am. It’s only what I do, and I’m not allowed to experience inconsistency or uncertainty of any kind.” What would you offer to that boy? What would it bring out in you? Are you willing to offer the same to yourself?
We are presented in this life with an opportunity, perhaps a responsibility, to offer a way of being, a sturdiness, a vision to the next generation of men and boys growing up in today’s world.
Rise or Fall: A Program for Men, A Course In Courage is about stepping into mature masculine energy.
There are very few “strong” men out there who aren’t leading with immature masculine energy while acting like they are expressing mature masculinity.
Immature masculine energy is about taking, manipulating, doubling down on “facts” and believing, “I deserve this more.” Immature masculinity also misses the point that if you’re even reading this, you are a person of privilege compared to the vast majority of the world.
Mature masculinity - a way of being that is strong, yet patient, firm, yet gentle is often confused as weakness or not “manning up”. In this, many good men confuse their strength for something else. And this can be debilitating for healthy men who have no healthy role models.
The good news is, nearly all of these misunderstandings lay in the realm of learned behavior. And… if it’s been learned, and it can be unlearned. We’ve all been trained in ways we don’t even recognize, but that training is often the thing that keeps us from including ourselves in the group of people we love, care for, honor, support and respect.
In this, heart-centeredness often morphs into empathy or apology instead of compassion. There’s a difference. And there’s an opportunity to pick a lane. Not every decision will be a good one, but the question is: are you part of the solution or part of the problem? Are you willing to acknowledge your missteps and keep moving forward, or do you take them as signs to stay in place or go backward? These are vital questions for the next generation of men who will lead the future.
Mature masculinity is like the sturdy riverbank that allows the flow of life to move through it. It holds things together and benefits from the beauty of what it holds.
Why This Program?
In today's world, men are being called to redefine what it means to lead, to be strong, and to live with purpose. Traditional definitions of what it means to be a good man have changed and in that, many men have learned to look outside of themselves for a self-definition that can only come from within.
Rise or Fall: A Program for Men, A Course in Courage is not just about theory—it’s a transformative six-month journey that equips you with practical tools to live courageously, with clarity and heart.
During Our Six Month Journey Together, We Will Cover:
⚚ Breaking free from old patterns:
Over the course of six months, you will challenge learned behaviors and conditioning, stepping into a healthier, more balanced version of masculinity. Together, we’ll address deep-rooted issues like embedded misogyny and racism, shame and privilege and explore how othering affects your relationships and view of the world. It’s about dismantling harmful beliefs and creating space for new, more inclusive ways of being.
⚚ Capacity vs. Capability:
Your capability highlights your maximum potential—what you’re theoretically able to achieve your best of days in the best of circumstances. But your capacity indicates what you can realistically handle at this moment in your life. Many men push themselves to their limits, focusing only on what they’re capable of, without considering their actual capacity. In Rise or Fall, you’ll learn how to honor both: embracing your full potential while staying grounded in what you can manage sustainably. This balance is crucial for long-term growth and well-being.
⚚ Nourishing and Embodying true courage:
Courage is more than just action—it’s a way of being. Learn how to live in a state of courage that fuels your actions, relationships, and vision for the world. Along the way, you’ll redefine what being a "good man" means to you, rather than what society has dictated. It’s about moving from outdated, rigid ideas of masculinity into one that is flexible, compassionate, and strong.
⚚ Self-care First practices:
True courage starts with taking care of yourself. In Rise or Fall, you’ll discover practices that prioritize self-care without guilt. These practices will support you in becoming a man who not only shows up for others but also for himself. You’ll learn that self-care is not a sign of weakness, but the foundation for sustainable strength and leadership.
If you’re ready to commit to lasting change, Rise or Fall provides the structure, support, and tools you need to transform yourself and your life.
WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR?
This course is designed for men who:
-
Find themselves constantly putting everyone else’s needs above their own, without knowing how to do it any other way.
-
Are torn between wanting to support others and wanting to “run away” from the endless demands on their time and energy.
-
Feel like nothing they do is ever enough, no matter how much they give or how hard they try.
-
Struggle to balance self-care with caring for others, feeling trapped between these extremes.
-
Experience frustration in personal relationships, particularly with partners or family, feeling unappreciated or overly criticized.
-
Feel stuck in cycles of suppressing their emotions, fearing they’ll come across as aggressive or overly emotional.
-
Feel pressured to “provide” for others but also feel drained by the weight of this responsibility.
-
Don’t know how to assert their needs or share their dreams without being labeled negatively (e.g., “selfish,” a “bad partner,” or a “bad father”).
-
Struggle with balancing being seen as the “good guy” role and speaking up for themselves, fearing that doing so might be viewed as aggressive or even toxic.
-
Feel isolated, as though they have no space to openly share their worries and be seen in them by a supportive community.
What’s holding you back from doing the things you know are important, but take a back seat to what seems urgent?
Are you reacting to life or intentionally responding?
Do you feel like there’s no room in your life for you?
Many of us are caught in cycles of reactivity. We react to what’s happening around us, often driven by old patterns, external pressures, or unexamined emotions. These reactions are quick and instinctive, but they’re rarely in alignment with our deeper values or vision for the future.
Reactivity is when we allow our emotions, fears, or past experiences to dictate our actions. It’s the knee-jerk response that comes from a place of survival. In these moments, we aren’t thinking clearly, and we aren’t acting from a place of grounded integrity.
Responding, on the other hand, is intentional. It’s the ability to pause, reflect, and choose how you want to engage with a situation. Responding requires accountability—it’s about taking responsibility for how you show up in every moment. It means being mindful of your actions, owning your decisions, and standing by them with integrity.
In Rise or Fall, you’ll learn to distinguish between reactivity and responding. You’ll develop the tools to step back from automatic reactions and start making choices from a place of strength, clarity, and maturity. This shift is essential for personal growth and for building strong relationships - with yourself, with your family, with your community.
Accountability is at the heart of this work. When you take full responsibility for your actions, you stop blaming others or external circumstances. Instead, you are able to step into possibility and recognize that every decision you make is part of a larger vision—whether you’re building something that supports your future or perpetuating old patterns that hold you back.
The real question is: are you willing to be accountable for the impact you have on your own life and on those around you?
What’s holding you back from doing the things you know are important, but take a back seat to what seems urgent?
Are you reacting to life or intentionally responding?
Do you feel like there’s no room in your life for you?
